- 2020.05: External and internal grant information updated. It’s time to focus on research.
- 2020.03: The homepage is revised to represent the (future) research group. The tentative name is “NACO Lab”.
- 2020.03: I’ve joined Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Incheon National University as an assistant professor. I’m glad that I’m back to South Korea 🙂
Welcome to NACO Lab! Our main research interest is natural computing, which is an interpretation of biochemical phenomena in living organisms from computer science point of view. For instance, a set of genes that share the common property can be represented as a language made of strings, and we can try to find theoretical properties that reflect the original shared biochemical/semantic property. Biological computation models are inspired by self-assembly and synthesis process of biochemical compounds, and we study how to exploit self-assembly to efficiently perform computation. We take approaches based on theory of computation, algorithm design and graph theory. We welcome everyone interested in theoretical computer science with a scent of biology.
